The RRB Group D 2026 exam is a 90-minute, 100-question computer-based test (CBT) assessing General Science, Maths, Reasoning, and General Awareness, with a 1/3 negative marking for errors. Candidates passing the CBT proceed to a Physical Efficiency Test (PET)—requiring weight lifting and running—followed by document verification for Level-1 posts.
RRB Group D Examination is conducted by the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) to appoint candidates for Level 1 posts like Pointsman, Assistant, Track Maintainer, Assistant Loco Shed, and other Indian Railways jobs. It's a wonderful chance for 10th-pass students to become part of Indian Railways.
There are 32,438 nationwide vacancies for various Level 1 posts. These range from Pointsman to Assistant, Track Maintainer to Assistant Loco Shed, and Assistant Operations among others.
